- NABHO Membership Application
NABHO meets the third Friday of each month (except July) at Bryan Medical Center, West Campus, 2300 S 16th, Lincoln, NE. The meetings run from 10:00 a.m. till noon. The agenda items include educating members about current issues, setting policy priorities at the state and national level, reports from various committees such as the Children's Commission, Magellan Governance, Behavioral Health Regions and System of Care.
Members have the opportunity to network, ask questions and remain up to date on the most relevant issues impacting behavioral health services, consumers and providers. We have a heavy emphasis on advocacy at the State and National level.
Member organizations can either be corporations, partnerships, government or quasi-government entities with a mission or purpose consistent with the mission and principles of the Association or meet the following criteria: 1) They have a mission or purpose consistent with the Association's mission and principles, 2) Have elected or appointed officers, 3) Have a defined membership, 4) Meet regularly to accomplish the organization's mission and purpose as evidenced by the meeting minutes
Membership dues are based on the size of the organization's budget, which is comprised of all programs, services and related activities operated under the governing authority of that organization. The dues year is July 1 to June 30. Any new organization who joins after October 1 will pay a prorated amount. What do my dues support?
NABHO's activities are solely supported by membership dues. These resources pay for staff, lobby efforts, special projects and the day to day operations of the organization. Your membership in our state association automatically makes you a member of the National Council for Behavioral Health. That membership gives you access to the largest behavioral health conference in the country, special leadership trainings, technical assistance, consultation services, advocacy at the federal level and receipt of their newsletter and action alerts.
